vacation

I have been on vacation this week, which should have meant that I would update this a bit more often. No. I'm on vacation. If it requires thinking, I'm not doing it this week. My Mom and Brothers came out for a quick visit, got here monday, left thursday, and no blood was spilt. Which means the visit was a success.

So leafing through the Magazine I recently bought, I realized that the photos are too airbrushed. I Don't mind a swipe here or there to soften, hide a zit or something of that nature, but damn.. you might as well whack off to a hippies van.

going out of business

I have a company function coming up soon so my girlfriend and I were in Springfield today looking for a new dress for her to wear as she doesn't have anything appropriate out here. It's all back home. So we're wandering around the mall and head into Sam Goodie which is going out of business. This has nothing to do with the story, but mentioned in the interest of full disclosure.

AS we are checking out I happen to glance up and see that the magazine on the wall behind the counter has an interview with Al Frankin, Whose political commentary I have enjoyed for years. So I asked that the magazine be added to the order, only to get the strangest look from my girlfriend. Apparently I had just bought an issue of playboy in front of my girlfriend. Because of Al Frankin. Damn liberals.

Recently I ordered some new RAM sticks for my comp so I can play civ 4 at human speed instead of snail speed. But I goofed and followed the wrong link and bought a slightly different stick instead. So we're returning it and getting the right one. Here is the e-mail they sent us:

We are very sorry you got problem with your parts.

My mind is too dirty to let that pass unshared, especiallly as the company I purchased from has the word "dong" in its name.
